Emily Nixon, CRNP

Emily's path to becoming a nurse practitioner was a winding one.  She earned her Associate of Science in Nursing from Lancaster General College of Nursing & Health Sciences (now St. Joseph's University) in 2010. She was then employed at a local primary care practice for several years, and discovered a love for Family Practice and it’s dedication to longterm relationships witih a patients and their families.  During this season, her love of music led her to study Vocal Performance and Biblical Studies at Lancaster Bible College.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Eastern Mennonite University in 2020, followed by a Master of Science in Nursing and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Messiah University in 2026.

Outside the clinic, Emily is just as likely to be found singing in a local choir as she is lacing up her trail runners for a long walk. A lifelong Lancaster County resident, she's also an avid traveler. She's twice walked the 500-mile Camino de Santiago in Spain and has explored India, Iceland, England, Canada, France, Switzerland, and Norway. She also enjoys biking, reading, teaching ESL, and hosting soup and movie nights for her friends. Wherever she is, home or abroad, Emily loves the same thing that drew her to family practice in the first place: getting to know people and listening to their stories.
